With the release of the infamous Battle Royale game known as H1Z1 it has brought many people together and created many careers for gamers and streamers worldwide, but will that continue? January 15th 2015 was by far the greatest day in the history of the Battle Royale genre because H1Z1 was the first official battle royale to be published and see millions of players playing it. Not only did all pc players receive an amazing game but a yearly chance to compete in the famous Twitch invitational for $50,000 dollars. Although with the recent additions into the genre of battle royale games we see H1Z1 falling and not holding its top spot as the number one game. Personally as a player with over 1,000 hours invested into the game and im pretty sure I speak for the community that the game does not feel like it used to. With the addition of multiple new names, weapons, movement, and user interfaces the change has not really been accepted to well within the community. The biggest complaint from the community now is the fact that the shotgun is inconsistent and instead of listening to the community Daybreak games decides time in and out to keep it in the game even though its ruining new player experiences. Most streamer believe to get more publicity the issue of “Stream Sniping” needs to be addressed. Because of this it makes the game not playable for big streamers on twitch therefore not getting the game new players and building their community back up. Although they have done many things that cant really compete to new titles they announced the remastered edition of their original map Z1. This is believed to bring back an audience to H1Z1 and reclaim its spot of the top Battle Royale game. Hopefully Daybreak Games can pull thru and regain their audience so the community can get their favorite game back to the top!
