With the Halo community player count starting to decline, Halo knew they had to come out with an announcement that would bring back members of the community young and old. Last Friday the @Halo announced many exciting things including a set tournament schedule as well as the return of the beloved MLG. This is bringing gamers back to the game which was the ultimate goal for 343 Industries. The new event schedule includes an open bracket for minor league teams to have a chance to compete and earn their share for fame and exposure. These newly scheduled events are taking place all around the world such as Australia, London and even locally in Orlando, Florida. With these new announcements 343 Industries has also made many new game changing updates.
The Pro’s such as @Ninja, @Spartan and @mikwen made their voices heard and 343 Industries listened. This is a huge step in the right direction as many of the players felt that their suggestions were falling on deaf ears. Many unheard esport teams are already going ahead and jumping to the scene, most of which already have spots in the pro-league, such as Reciprocity. We are also seeing big names in esports leaving the Halo community such as Team Liquid and Team Envyus. Although these teams are leaving, many members of teams or simply supporters of the game are excited to get competing again and have something to look forward to. With this said the 2018 Halo spring and summer season should be one to remember, with all these new teams entering and new rosters being formed!
